Hi there!

I do have a full-time career as a public high school teacher! I teach 9th-grade English (Special Education) in Hell’s Kitchen/Midtown, but I live in Brooklyn. I’m coming up on my 7th year! It’s hectic, but I do love my job and my “kids”.

I’m looking for supplemental income and because I’ve always worked with children in some capacity, I decided this would be the best fit for where I am in my life right now. I am open to reoccurring hours (within limit) and can be pretty flexible.

I’ve technically been a babysitter since I was 11 years old – in my community mostly and for families at my school, carpools, neighbors, etc. All throughout undergrad I was a babysitter in lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn (a part-time nanny) – as well as a dog walker (mostly uptown).

I speak Portuguese and am conversational in Spanish. I love language, love teaching, and love kids. Definitely the ultimate “auntie” for your children.

See rates below. Please know that I am very flexible!!! But I must be transparent that I do make $54/hr per session as a teacher for after-school clubs, sports, etc. Ultimately, my goal is not to “teach” and create lessons but to have a lighter load, working with children, and making sure they’re safe.
