Hi! I am a non-profit executive who was recently laid off from my job due to the organization sadly closing.
With many years of experience as a babysitter/nanny (in addition to being a mom to an awesome 8 year old!), I’m looking for part-time babysitting/nanny gigs while I figure out my next career move.
I live in Bay Ridge and worked with a wonderful family for many years. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their lives and watch the kids grow up. We grew very close and still keep in touch regularly. I started when their youngest was 18 months old. They also had two step children who were 6 and 9 years old when I started, so I am comfortable working with 1-3 children at a time of various ages. I am also comfortable babysitting while the parent(s) are out, as well as if a parent is home and just needs some support.
I have a degree in fine arts from Pratt Institute and love to get creative with kids!
I also worked for 10 years as a director at a nonprofit supporting people with developmental disabilities and the past five years as an Executive Director for a nonprofit that provided free one-on-one tutoring to NYC students, so I am comfortable with helping with homework and working with children who have special needs.
I maintained my CPR & first aid certification for many years; I haven’t renewed it recently, but after 10+ years of trainings, I am very familiar with both.
