I love being a sitter because it allows me to create meaningful, positive experiences for children. Seeing their growth, happiness, and curiosity flourish brings me joy, and I value the trust families place in me to care for their loved ones. Each child is unique, and Im passionate about providing nurturing and engaging care, whether through creative activities or helping them learn new things. My psychology background also helps me better understand their needs and development.
I have extensive experience working with children in various settings, including summer camps, child care centers, and residence programs. As a camp counselor at the YMCA of Greater New York, I ensured the safety of children and led arts and STEM-based activities. Ive also worked as a teacher assistant at the Buffalo State Child Care Center, where I supervised and cared for infants and toddlers, organized meals, and maintained hygiene routines. My roles have equipped me with skills in supervision, communication, and planning.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Dance, which gives me insight into child development and behavior. Im skilled in problem-solving, time management, and creating a fun, safe environment for children. Ive been trained in conflict resolution, effective communication, and organizing structured learning activities. Additionally, Im proficient in MS Word, which helps with organizing lesson plans and reports, and I have strong attention to detail, ensuring that childrens needs are met.
