Hello! My name is Julie, and I am a postpartum doula and babysitter keen on prioritizing care work that centers being an advocate, joy-seeker, and companion for families and individuals desiring community support during periods of great transition.

I am currently looking to support families with babies 0-11 months old for anywhere between 10-30 hours weekly, and my rate is $40-$50. During a shift I can help out with baby care to give you time and space to have a few hours to yourself (this includes developmentally-appropriate play, feeding support, diaper changes, nap time, walks outside), prepare meals for your family, do light housekeeping, and be a familiar face to connect with and seek support from as needed.

Support across a variety of branches that I can provide can look like:

Infant care – watching over your baby so that you can take a break to sleep, shower, eat, and do anything that makes you feel more grounded. Includes diaper changes, feedings, play time, assisting with safe sleep and naps, and stimulating interaction in developmentally-appropriate ways.

Educational support – assisting you in identifying infant cues and communication, discussing safe sleeping, demonstrating diapering and bathing, support with babywearing, demonstrating feeding positions and referring out for additional lactation/feeding advice

Logistical support – identifying networks of support among family and friends and delegating tasks, setting up care stations around the house, setting up a meal train, light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, pet care, bed-making)

Physical support – preparing nourishing food for the whole family, drawing an herbal sitz bath, guiding gentle movement, providing a foot or hand massage

Emotional support – processing your birthing experience, supporting identity shifts, connecting to mental health support, identifying ways to uplift wellness, providing guided meditations, holding space for tears and emotional processing

Really, anything! Above all, I am here for your family as a whole, to uplift your parenting and honor your boundaries and needs. Tell me what you need and we will make it happen.

Overnight support available as well.

I have extensive experience nannying for and providing postpartum support to several families, and worked for an Infant Toddler Childcare Center as well.
