I grew up in mid-city Los Angeles as the eldest of 5 children in a Mexican and Jewish household. I went to public schools where I excelled in all academic subjects, did stand-up and improv comedy, theater and played two years of varsity baseball. I then attended Columbia University where I graduated in 3.5 years with honors in History and Education. Currently, I am pursuing a career in acting and documentary filmmaking and nannying, tutoring and teaching acting and improv to kids ages 12-16 on the side.

Parents and children find me kind, patient, caring, funny, mature and intelligent. I know when it’s time to play and time to settle down and either do homework, rest or focus on other calmer activities. I am good at kindly and warmly setting boundaries and providing structure, while still making plenty of time for fun. I am very warm and genuine and having grown up with so many children in my household and spent years as a sitter and educator for kids, I have a special and intuitive ability to understand children of all ages and their needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with kids include: acting/improv/movie making, visual art including drawing painting and sewing, playing with toys and helping with homework in all subjects from pre-school up to high school AP level. I am also very athletic and enjoy playing all sports/physical activities/games such as tag, hide and seek, capture the flag, etc. I love taking kids on cultural outings including movies, museums, parks and I am an avid reader and lifelong learner whose enthusiasm and curiosity has been known to spark the same in younger people.

Other relevant skills include: cooking, driver’s license with 12 years of experience, can lift and move heavy objects, speak conversational Spanish and I have a very calm, mellow temperament with an abundance of patience and understanding.
