Hi! I’m Jom :) I’m a 25 year old writer, originally from Los Angeles but now living in New York after spending the last 5 years in Paris. As a sitter and a nanny, I am patient, compassionate, playful, and enthusiastic! I am fluent in both French and English and am happy to speak to the children in either language, as the family prefers. When caring for children, I like to create an environment that supports creative development through the arts, mindfulness practices for navigating emotional waves (ask me about animal yoga!), as well as supervised independence building practices, encouraging the children to help out with meal prep and clean up. In terms of the school of thought that I’m most aligned with, I would say I’m most attuned to child led learning with lots of play. If your little ones have special interests, I’d love to know in advance so that I can plan activities incorporating those elements that are both educational and fun!
