My empathy and understanding of others has been an essential aspect of my personality for as long as I can remember and were foundational to my early social service career, but my appreciation for working with children was discovered more recently, in my graduate school internship at an elementary school in Brownsville. In this experience, I learned how exciting it is to be around the energy, creativity, and playfulness of kids. In the month since completing this internship, Ive found that I already miss building relationships with kids that celebrate their uniqueness and support them as they learn and grow.

As the devoted owner of a 70lbs rescue dog named Bean, Im also absolutely confident caring for pets of all types.
