Dereka C.

Hey to all of the beautiful families, my name is dereka and I am a joyous and creative 19 year old who loves kids. If you asked anyone who knows me to describe me in a sentence, they would immediately say ‘dereka always has a child in her hands’. From the age of 10, I was known as the ‘family babysitter’ as my little cousins were always dropped off at my house after school so I could look after them. I worked with every age, especially newborns.
I adore bringing out the absolute best in kids by keeping them entertained with fun activities such as arts and crafts, educational games (because we all need balance), and cooking!. Ethnically I’m Caribbean so your child(ren) will be exposed to great food, baked goods and an amazing culture.

I’m always told that I have a nurturing nature, i don’t know if that’s because my British accent makes people smile, but babysitting comes easy to me. Whilst you are reading this I’m sure you’re asking: ‘But what sets you apart from the rest’…well, I am trustworthy and patient. I prioritise following the household rules because I’m entering your environment to take care of your number 1 responsibility; I always make sure to express patience and listen to not only what the kids need/want but to what you as parents require of me; Iaslty i always ensure room for growth as children need support to be themselves now and in the future.
