Hey there! My name’s Clae. I’m a theater-maker, poet, painter, and educator who recently graduated from Vassar College. I’ve tutored and taught kids on and off for the past 8 years, but my theatrical sense of play and curiosity has called my heart back to babysitting. Before moving to college, I spent nearly six years as a volunteer care worker for Kids Alive, a group for kids whose parents have cancer. In 2018 I became one of ten State Thespian Officers advocating for and teaching arts advocacy to middle school youth, creating and leading workshops to engage young kids in theatre arts. That same year, I also launched my Art for All service initiative to teach art lessons and care for kids who have learning disabilities. Upon entering college, I occasionally joined a friend who was babysitting three young kids and began to realize that my background in theater and experience with somatic emotional regulation profoundly lends itself to caring for and engaging with kids. As I pave my way in the Big Apple, I hope to find a sitting situation that ignites my imagination and allows my experience as an educator to shine and further grow!

Some other fun things about me: I love to cook, dance Flamenco, and can conversationally speak Spanish!
