My name is Chase, I am a 26 year old young woman from Gainesville, Florida. I have been babysitting since I was 11 years old and while I have had a few jobs since I graduated college I have always babysat throughout every stage of my life. Most recently, in Florida I was the regular babysitter for a 6 month old and a 5 year old, and can provide references. I also have experience as a substitute teacher in a public school system (K-12, but mainly taught K-8) where I also occasionally subbed in as a paraprofessional for disabled students. I have been a teaching assistant in language arts and reading at a non-profit (PACE Center for girls) for educating and counseling young girls that are facing multiple risk factors including truancy and poverty, among others. I am passionate about reading to kids because I have dyslexia and learning to read, even though it was delayed and took a lot of special tutoring, empowered me in school and greatly increased my confidence. I love children of all ages and seeing them learn! I just moved to New York this Summer and am looking for a few part-time babysitting jobs or possibly a nannying job. For fun I like to go to chess club or go out dancing with my friends.
