Hello! Im so excited to meet you. I am a rising senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Writing Language. I never want to stop working with kids! I have experience in working with kids from ages 3 – 12 yrs of age. These experiences have included interning at a writing camp and helping kids brainstorm their stories, working at an Up-K preschool, and volunteering at an educational and bilingual soccer program for young girls during my time abroad.
I am a creative, passionate, and selfless person who loves to serve others and I recognize the joy of a child when they are interested in something, achieve something, and want to pursue something. During my past experiences, working, volunteering, and interning, I have had the opportunity to pursue my gifts and talents while serving. I absolutely love to write, read, and Im the type of Psychology major that loves statistics and research. I have experience sharing my hobbies of writing and reading to kids who desire to become writers, authors, play writers, and journalists. While I was abroad, I had the opportunity to serve young Spanish speaking girls through their educational bilingual soccer program. This opportunity was both challenging and rewarding as I was learning the Spanish language just as much as they were learning the English language. Lastly, my creativity skills and humor were put to good use as I became an assistant teacher at a local pre-school. I provided in-classroom support alongside the primary teacher, engaged students in fun and educational learning activities, and ensured a calm, and nurturing environment to foster learning, and student success.
On another note, I hope to continue serving kids as an ABA therapist and providing services to children diagnosed with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities because everyone, young and old should have the opportunity to get the help that they need to learn, achieve, and pursue. By the way, my favorite childrens book is Knuffle Bunny by Mo Williams and the background in the story is my elementary school!
