Hello! My name is Alisha and Ive been in the childcare experience since I was in high school actually. I basically created my own babysitting company(with only one employee) and took on babysitting from neighbors, my moms friends and coworkers. After high school, I started working in actual school, my first job being in a daycare. It was a total culture shock but I learned many things there and used it to my advantage in my next job, a summer coach. Form 8am-5pm and a co-coach supervised a class of about 20 first graders with different accessibility needs(such as adhd and autism) where we facilitated activities and provide educational support. In my current job, I still work at the same school, but as a Afterschool counselor which mainly entails supervising, supporting the kids with homework and facilitating extra curricular activities. Although I do run in some complications with the students, for the most part its so fun! I love working with kids because they are so adorable and much easier and more fun to talk to than adults. But on a personal note, I love to crochet(so dont be surprised if your child gains a new hat and I love to do arts and craft activities!
