Hello, Parents!

My name is Alex, I’m a 27-year old native New Yorker based in South Slope, BK. I currently work as a Junior Producer for a well-known Arts non-profit. I’m lucky enough to do what I love every day— I work with folks from all walks of life, all over the country and help them tell their stories. I manage interns and a wide range of logistics as part of my day-to-day.

A little more about me:
- College educated honors student with BA in Film & Media and double minors in Theatre and English Lit. I’d love to help your little one perfect their reading and writing skills, or embrace their flair for the dramatic through theatre!
- Female-identifying
- Native Staten Islander (translation: as a former suburbanite, I have a car and am a VERY proficient NYC driver. When you learn to drive around NYC, you should qualify for some kind of super-license.)
- I was a K-12 student at a NYC prep school, and I relate to/ appreciate the pressures of a rigorous school environment.
- Dog owner and cat appreciator! I adore caring for animals.
- I volunteer with a local food pantry and help prepare meals on some Sundays. I also volunteer with park cleanup efforts. If you’re interested, I’d love to work with your child to show them how we can all participate in bettering our community, and being kinder neighbors to those less fortunate.
- Extremely tidy and confident in the kitchen, I’m able to help with light housework and meals.

In High School I worked as an assistant dance teacher for young girls ages 4-6 and 7-9. I’m also the oldest of many cousins, and have spent my life playing with and caring for my family. I love spending time with kids and hold a deep respect for their emotions.
