Hey! My name is Alex. This past summer, I worked at a summer camp/daycare for about three months in Maine. I worked with kids across multiple age ranges. I had loads of fun and developed an awesome relationship with all of my campers. I believe the foundational qualities in being a good babysitter is leading by example. I always put myself in the shoes of the kid to better understand what would make them feel safe in any situation. I also follow direction very well, given that I worked under a boss, or head counselor. I have absolutely no problem with children that may be perceived as a little difficult because I consider myself someone who has a lot of patience. Recently, I babysat/housesat for four days for a family friend who has a young kid at their house. Everything went really well and I enjoyed the experience. I watched some basketball and cooked some food over those four days and got to know the kid pretty well. Overall, I would say my main qualities when it comes to childcare would be responsibility, patience, and focus.
