Hi!

My name is Chelsea and I am currently a certified Kindergarten teacher looking to extend my love of working with children through the summer months and possibly beyond!

My NYS certification is from birth-grade 2 and I have over 7 years of classroom experience working with children ages 2-6 with diverse learning needs. I am currently teaching in a special education program seeking to foster inclusion for students with autism.

I love working with children of all ages but I have a special place in my heart for my pre-school aged kiddos as that was the group I worked with for the longest.

I’m a native New Yorker, and I am fluent in Spanish. I come from a large family with 9 nieces and nephews! You can imagine how many diapers I’ve changed with a family that large. I have plenty of paid and unpaid babysitting experience in addition to my years of classroom teaching.

I love to do arts and crafts, STEM projects, facilitate educational learning activities, and outdoor play!

I understand how daunting it can be for parents to leave their children with a new caretaker. I’ve had experience with this as both a babysitter and a teacher on the first day of school. I am happy to provide as much reassurance and support as needed. Before coming to a mutual decision on whether or not we are a good fit for each other, I am happy to do a video call or meet up in a public place.
