While I only have about a year and a half of experience working in childcare , I am currently in school with plans to fulfill a career working with children with special needs. I value the needs of the children, their culture, and identity.

I have worked with four children starting from the age 8 months to 7 years old, tailoring care to meet each childs developmental needs.

Provided a safe and enriching environment, encouraging open communication where children felt comfortable expressing their needs and feelings.

Limited screen time and facilitated creative activities such as singing, dancing, and drawing to foster imagination and development.

Managed daily morning routines, ensuring children woke up on time, assisted with meals, and prepared them for school.

Assisted with light housekeeping in order to build a safe and organized home environment.

Valued all stories, opinions, and ideas from the children to foster their sense of self worth and confidence.

Currently, I am doing fieldwork with kids with special needs at a public school. Through this experience, I have worked with children with a range of needs while having the proper supervision of the teachers, aids, and my supervisor.
